Shop Locally. Live Sustainably.

Sustainable LDN is an awareness initiative created to show citizens of London, Ontario and surrounding areas that ethical consumerism is convenient, cost-efficient and most importantly, local. This website will be exploring two common types of shopping: food and fashion, and how you can revolutionize the way you shop with local businesses committed to sustainability.

WHAT IS SUSTAINABILITY?

A Bit of Background

As a species, humans have made the most significant impact on our planet and its resources, sometimes in very damaging and irreversible ways. 

 

Sustainability for us means meeting our own needs without compromising future generations’ ability to meet their needs. It’s about being environmentally conservative and socially conscious: keeping in mind however we innovate, consume, build and ultimately live have consequences and effects on everyone who lives and will live on Earth.
